Best Liquid Foundation For Oily Skin

The best liquid foundation for oily skin should be able to hide large pores, blemishes, pimples, blackheads, and spots effectively, and it should last for at least 4 hours. It should also be able to reduce the shine on your face without looking caked on.

Below is a list of the best liquid foundation for oily skin type:

Choosing a foundation

When choosing a foundation for oily or combination skin, Look for foundation with labels that contain non-comedogenic ingredients. These are the ideal foundations for oily skin because they prevent acne and they do not cause makeup breakouts. The other thing to look for is the foundation should be a shine-reducing or a mattifying kind. They are formulated especially to prevent extra oil that can shine on your face.

If you have smooth skin that is free from blemishes and other imperfections, you should choose a light, tinted moisturizer. It is the ideal choice if you want a foundation for daily wear because it lets your pores breathe. For special occasions, choose a foundation that offers medium to heavy coverage. I personally have 2 kinds of foundations that I use. One is for a sheer cover for everyday wear, and the other is for a heavier coverage that is suitable for special occasions.

 How to apply foundation

You should apply a good-quality oil-free primer first before applying your foundation. Primer allows the foundation to glide smoothly on your face. It also makes your makeup last longer. If you have a skin discoloration, or other imperfections, apply a concealer after a primer. Take a small amount of foundation on your brush and apply it with an outward movement. Also apply the foundation on your neck in order for it to look more natural. Wait and let the foundation set for about 5 minutes, then brush on a mineralized light-weight powder for a finished look. Don’t forget to sanitize your brushes and sponges regularly. I wash my brushes once a week.

Remember, If you have an oily skin, you should apply a gel-based foundation to reduce your shiny look. Choose a foundation that will not only soak up the excess oils on your face, but also lasts all day long. Most makeup counters will let you test the foundation before you buy it.
